Privacy Policy - Welcome Comp

This privacy policy applies to the Welcome Comp mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "Application") for mobile devices, developed by Mikael Cauã (hereinafter referred to as the "Developer"). This service is provided "AS IS."

Internet Connection

The Application requires an internet connection only to download PDF files from the server and provide updated content. No user information is transmitted or stored during this connection. The application also includes social media buttons that redirect the user to the respective social networks, namely:

PDF File Storage

The Application uses your device's internal storage to download and store PDF files from the server. This storage is necessary to allow offline access and facilitate later viewing of the documents.

The stored PDF files contain evaluation data from previous semesters of the UFMA Computer Science course, including grades, comments, and statistics. The files have an average size of 4MB.

The PDF files are stored in the device's downloads folder. Access to the files can be done through the application, but the user can also access and delete them using a file manager on their device.

Data Source

The application uses the following repository as a base for retrieving the exams: https://github.com/elheremes/awesome-ufma

Open Source

This application is open source and can be accessed through this link: https://github.com/mikaelcaua/welcome_comp

Third-Party Access

The Application uses third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy regarding data handling. Below are the links to the Privacy Policy of the1 third-party service providers used by the Application:

The Developer may disclose information as required by law, to protect their rights, safety, or investigate fraud, or with their trusted service providers.

Opt-Out Rights

The Application does not collect any user information. The request to use internal storage for downloading PDFs is made explicitly, and the user can deny this permission if they wish, which will result in the inability to download the files, and consequently, the inability to use the application.

Data Retention Policy

As the application does not retain any user data, there is no data to retain.

Children

The Developer does not use the Application to intentionally solicit data or market to children under the age of 13.

This privacy policy is effective as of 2025-04-05
